US offers $15 million reward for information on IRGC’s financial network

The notice stated that people providing information could qualify for financial rewards and relocation assistance.

The United States government is offering rewards of up to $15 million for information about financial networks linked to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps through the State Department’s Rewards for Justice program, according to announcements published by the program targeting the Iran-based Kimia Part Sivan Company, or KIPAS.

The Rewards for Justice program said the initiative is aimed at disrupting the “financial mechanisms of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC),” which the United States designates as a foreign terrorist organization.

The announcements identified KIPAS as a drone-production arm of the IRGC’s Quds Force and accused the company of supporting drone operations connected to Iran-aligned groups in Iraq, Yemen, and Syria.

In a post on X, the program called on the public to “help us put a dent in the IRGC’s revenue stream” by providing information about individuals involved in managing the company.

The notice stated that people providing information could qualify for financial rewards and relocation assistance.

A statement released by the US government on Thursday, May 14, named several individuals allegedly connected to the company’s drone operations, including Hassan Arambonjad, Abolfazl Ramazanzadeh Mushkani, Mehdi Ghaffari Naghneh, Reza Nahardani, Abbas Sartaji, and Hadi Jamshidi Zavarki.

According to the statement, the individuals “have been actively involved in the testing, development, and supply of the company’s drones, particularly to Iran-aligned militia groups in Iraq, Yemen, and Syria.”

The announcements also said KIPAS officials had conducted drone flight tests for the Quds Force, provided technical support for operational drones transferred to Iraq, and procured drone components from foreign-based firms for use by the IRGC.

The US Department of the Treasury previously placed KIPAS and the individuals named in the announcement on its sanctions list two years ago.
