‘I will kill you first’ – Luis Ramirez was arrested trying to enter New York after he vowed to carry out massacre at a Manhattan synagogue on Shabbat.

A Utah man was arrested Friday night en route to New York after threatening to carry out mass murder at a Manhattan synagogue.

Luis Ramirez, 23, was picked up at 5:30 p.m. Friday by Port Authority police while en route to Manhattan from New Jersey via the Lincoln Tunnel, police said.

Ramirez, who had driven cross country from his home in Utah, was flagged by the New York City Police Department after he used his account on the social media platform X to announce his plans to kill Jews over the weekend, while claiming he was a reincarnation of both Jesus and Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler.

“The Jews killed me in a past life,” Ramirez wrote in all-caps on X. “If you try to kill me again today in NYC when I pull up to Shabbat I will kill you first and condemn you to hell.”

“In a past life I went by the alias Adolf Hitler,” Ramirez continued. “Adolf means noble wolf and Hitler means to guard and look after my purpose in that lifetime was to punish you through the Holocaust for killing me when I was Jesus.”

“Kill me again and I will kill tenfold as many Jews as I did in WW2.”

The message was posted early Friday morning, hours before Ramirez was taken into custody.

The Community Security Initiative, a project launched jointly by the United Jewish Appeal – Federation and the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York, was responsible for tipping off New York City Police regarding Ramirez’s comments.

Authorities say Ramirez has no criminal record and no weapon was found in his possession when he was taken into custody Friday.

However, while driving through Kansas City on his way to New York, local police found a gun in Ramirez’s vehicle.

Charges have yet to be filed, though Ramirez remains in custody.
