Some 200 Jews from France arrived in Israel as new immigrants on Wednesday. While some are fleeing the country because of Islamic terror and anti-Semitism, others are making Aliyah (settling in Israel) and choosing the Jewish state over other options for ideological reasons.
For famous Jewish Agency for Israel executive head Natan Sharansky, a former Soviet refusenik, each time a new planeload of immigrants arrives, he is reminded of his own Aliyah.
