WATCH: Women beat Afghani father for selling 6-year-old daughter

Six-year-old Afghani girl, Gharibgol, was forced to marry Seyed Abdolkarim, the 55-year-old mullah of her home village Obeh, in exchange for a goat, a bag of rice, tea, sugar, and a few liters of cooking oil. The mullah took her to a distant relative’s house in Firozkoh, who discovered the girl was his wife. She told a friend, who called the local women rights bureau, which called the police. The mullah and Gharibgol’s father were arrested and local woman beat the father as he was taken away, according to France24.
