Thousands of visitors came to the Ramon crater in southern Israel to watch and enjoy the most amazing Perseid meteor shower, which reached its peak overnight Monday with more than 100 meteors per hour. The spectacular show occurs when the Earth moves through the trail of material left behind by the comet Swift-Tuttle every August.
