A panel of judges rejected a petition by Jakarta’s Christian governor Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama to throw out his blasphemy case on human rights grounds, setting up a trial in which he may be sentenced up to five years in prison for allegedly misquoting a Koranic verse.
