Retired U.S. Gen. Jack Keane told Fox News on Wednesday that President Donald Trump should avoid the ‘Kissinger model’ when replacing Bolton and not appoint Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to serve also as National Security Advisor.

In 1973, then-President Richard M. Nixon asked Henry Kissinger to fill both positions.
