In the video below, the Grand Mufti of Tunisia, Othman Battikh, called for unity between different faiths during the visit of a delegation of European and Israeli rabbis to Tunisia last weekend to strengthen cooperation between Jews and Muslims in the war against Islamic terror.
According to a subsequent report, however, the Mufti was harshly criticized for the interview with Israel’s Arutz Sheva, and issued a statement declaring that he “did not pay attention to the logo of the Israeli channel during the conversation,” improbably claiming that the Israeli reporter presented himself as a “Palestinian” who was a media attaché of Yasser Arafat.
