Governor Mike Huckabee (Youtube/Screenshot)
Mike Huckabee, former governor of Arkansas and a previous Republican presidential candidate, says it was “disrespectful” for Ohio Governor John Kasich, another former candidate, not to attend the Republican National Convention – not necessarily to endorse Donald Trump, but as a mere courtesy. Kasich is “nowhere to be seen,” Huckabee said, adding that the people of Ohio were deeply embarrassed by his absence. Kasich defended his decision, saying that he’s “very aware of being a self-righteous politician.”
Because of Kasich, Huckabee charged, the U.S.-Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, which never before endorsed a presidential candidate, decided to endorse Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton.
