IDF discovers third Hezbollah tunnel, plants explosives inside

“Hezbollah planned to use this tunnel to carry out an attack against Israeli civilians. We won’t let them,” the IDF stated. “We have placed explosives inside the tunnel. Anyone who enters the tunnel does so at their own risk.”

On Saturday, the IDF exposed another Hezbollah terror tunnel reaching into Israel from Lebanon.

It was the third tunnel identified and the second one fully exposed by the army.

“The IDF has located an additional Hezbollah cross-border attack tunnel. The tunnel crosses into Israel; like the first tunnel it is not yet operational and does not pose an imminent threat to Israeli communities,” IDF spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Jonathan Conricus said in a press briefing.

He gave no details on the tunnel’s exact location or dimensions.

“Hezbollah planned to use this tunnel to carry out an attack against Israeli civilians. We won’t let them,” the IDF stated. “We have placed explosives inside the tunnel. Anyone who enters the tunnel does so at their own risk.”

“The IDF and the security establishment are continuing to operate in the north with great success. They are systematically and decisively eliminating Hezbollah’s tunnels weapon,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated Saturday night.

“This operation is just beginning; equanimity and patience are required. We will continue to work until it is completed; this is what we will do,” he added.
