On Monday, the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) signed an agreement that is expected to create numerous business opportunities for Israeli companies interested in promoting energy projects in African countries.

US Government and the Government of Israel entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) allowing Israel to join the United States Agency for International Development's (USAID) Power Africa Partnership. The signing ceremony was attended by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, U.S. Ambassador to Israel David Friedman, U.S. Power Africa Coordinator Andrew Herscowitz, Ambassadors and representatives from several African nations, and other dignitaries.
