WATCH: Israeli woman ordered to remain in shelter against her will

In light of a judge’s decision to forcibly keep another woman and her children at a shelter for their protection, rights activists are calling for the security establishment and judicial system to find alternate solutions.

At Sunday morning’s cabinet meeting, Prime Minister Yair Lapid discussed the “terrible violence” against women, saying it was the government’s “responsibility as a society and our obligation as the government to eradicate this phenomenon.”
