WATCH: Israel’s desert oasis for stargazing

Israel’s Makhtesh Ramon (Ramon Crater) in the southern Negev Desert has been designated an International Dark Sky Park, which is a location with almost no light pollution that is ideal for observing the night sky.  The area is also home to Tel Aviv University’s stellar observatory.
