Sam Schulman, the last surviving U.S. crew member from the “Exodus,” died Friday in Virginia at the age of 91.
Schulman, who had volunteered to help Holocaust survivors enter pre-state Israel on the famous vessel, discusses the challenges facing the ship and its 4,500 refugees.
