WATCH: Late world-renowned hasidic leader encouraged celebration of Thanksgiving

The late Grand Rabbi Menachem Schneerson, known as the Lubavitch Rebbe, who headed the worldwide Chabad-Lubavitch movement, strongly supported the celebration of Thanksgiving as a day to thank God, as the original settlers did, for bringing His followers to a secure land and saving them from religious oppression.
