On Wednesday, the Knesset passed the controversial Electricity Law that is expected to connect some 130,000 illegally built homes, primarily in Arab and Bedouin communities, to Israel’s national electricity grid. The bill led to an ongoing conflict between Israel’s coalition and opposition parties.
