U.S. Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump on Saturday introduced Indiana Governor Mike Pence as his vice-presidential candidate. The announcement came as no surprise, especially after Trump tweeted his choice on Friday.
Pence will help “make America safe again and to make America great again,” Trump stated, before going on to detail all the changes that he believes need to be made in the country. “I’ve admired that work that he’s done, especially in Indiana,” Trump said of Pence. “I admired that he fights for the people, and he’s going to fight for you.”
