In a political firestorm that’s reigniting debate over the origins of the Trump-Russia investigation, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard declassified a trove of documents she says prove senior Obama-era officials deliberately weaponized U.S. intelligence to undermine President Donald Trump and the will of the American people.

Gabbard, speaking on Hannity, accused former President Barack Obama and top members of his national security team—including James Comey, John Brennan, James Clapper, and Susan Rice—of masterminding what she described as a “treasonous conspiracy” to delegitimize Trump’s presidency before it even began.

“The information we are releasing today clearly shows there was a treasonous conspiracy in 2016 committed by officials at the highest level of our government,” Gabbard said.

“Their goal was to subvert the will of the American people and enact what was essentially a years-long coup.”

According to Gabbard, the newly declassified documents—memos, emails, and internal communications—reveal that U.S. intelligence was “politicized and manipulated” to justify surveillance, investigations, and public distrust of President Trump, all under the false narrative of Russian collusion.

She pointed to the now-infamous Steele Dossier and the FISA warrants issued against Trump associates as evidence that the intelligence community, under Obama’s leadership, acted with partisan intent rather than national security interests.

Gabbard, a former Democratic congresswoman and 2020 presidential candidate who now serves as DNI under President Trump, called for criminal accountability for the officials involved.

“This egregious abuse of power and blatant rejection of our Constitution threatens the very foundation and integrity of our democratic republic,” she said.

The reaction was swift. Conservative lawmakers and media figures praised Gabbard for exposing what they see as years of corruption and deception.

Meanwhile, critics dismissed the revelations as politically motivated and misleading, pointing out that multiple investigations—including the Mueller report—found no evidence that Obama ordered illegal surveillance or coordinated a plot.
