US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman visited the southern Israeli town of Sderot’s fire station on Wednesday, where he met with firefighters, including 10 Americans, who are working to extinguish the fires on the border along the Gaza Strip.
The American firefighters, who volunteer through the Emergency Volunteers Project (EVP), came to Israel to help their Israeli counterparts fight the wildfires caused by incendiary kites and balloons launched by Gaza terrorists towards Israel. Israel’s Fire and Rescue Commissioner, Dedi Simhi, joined Friedman in thanking the firefighters who came from abroad in an act of solidarity with Israel.
