On November 29, 1947, the UN General Assembly adopted the United Nations Partition Plan for Palestine as Resolution 181. The resolution recommended the creation of independent Arab and Jewish States and a Special International Regime for the city of Jerusalem. However, the Arabs rejected it. Would things have been different if they had accepted it?
