‘What the f— are you doing?’ Trump reportedly slams Netanyahu

According to U.S. officials, Trump erupted during a call with Netanyahu over Israeli military plans in Lebanon amid delicate negotiations with Iran.

President Donald Trump reportedly exploded at Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during a phone call aimed at pressuring the Israeli leader not to strike Hezbollah targets in the Beirut area.

“You’re f——ing crazy. You’d be in prison if it weren’t for me. I’m saving your a——. Everybody hates you now. Everybody hates Israel because of this,” an infuriated Trump reportedly told Netanyahu during the tense conversation on Monday, according to a U.S. official who spoke to Axios.

Another source told the outlet that Trump was “pissed” and at one point shouted at the Israeli premier, yelling, “What the f—— are you doing?”

The U.S. has been engaged in lengthy negotiations with Iran aimed at ending the war and restoring normal shipping traffic through the Strait of Hormuz. Tehran has reportedly sought to include provisions in any agreement that would protect its most valuable proxy, Hezbollah.

On Monday, Iranian officials announced they had suspended talks with Washington ahead of an expected Israeli attack on Beirut, saying that any potential agreement would also require Israel to halt strikes against Hezbollah.

Hours later, Trump said Netanyahu had called off attacks on Beirut, suggesting in a post on Truth Social that Israeli troops had been poised for a ground invasion of the Lebanese capital — a scenario markedly different from the airstrikes on Hezbollah’s Dahiyeh stronghold that had been announced by the IDF.

“I had a conversation with Bibi Netanyahu today, asking him not to go into a major raid of Beirut, Lebanon. He turned his Troops around. Thank you Bibi!” Trump wrote.

In mid-April, Trump announced a ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon after hostilities resumed between Hezbollah and the IDF following the outbreak of the U.S.-Israel war against Iran in late February.

Despite the ceasefire announcement, Hezbollah has repeatedly targeted Israeli troops in the border region with explosive drones, killing 14 Israeli soldiers and one civilian Defense Ministry contractor over the past six weeks.
