An Israeli man was killed and three people were wounded in a terrorist attack south of Jerusalem Tuesday afternoon.

The attack occurred at the Gush Etzion Junction at approximately 2 p.m. when two Palestinian Arab terrorists rammed into Israeli pedestrians waiting at a bus stop.

Afterward, the terrorists exited their vehicle and ran toward other Israeli pedestrians while brandishing knives in an attempt to stab them.

Both terrorists were shot and killed on the scene, but only after they managed to stab at least one person.

The IDF has deployed additional troops to the area, with Israeli forces sealing off a nearby Arab village.

Emergency first responders from United Hatzalah and Magen David Adom (MDA) were dispatched to the scene to treat the wounded and evacuate them to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital and Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem, aiding an IDF medical team operating at the site of the attack.

A spokesperson for United Hatzalah said that two female victims were seriously injured, while MDA reported that one man, roughly 30 years old, was declared dead at the scene following resuscitation attempts.

According to preliminary reports, one victim was apparently wounded by a bullet fired at the terrorists.

MDA reported that two other victims are in moderate-to-serious condition, with the fourth in light condition.

The two patients in moderate-to-serious condition have been identified as a woman roughly 40 years of age, and a teenage boy.

“Upon arrival, we heard gunfire at the scene,” said United Hatzalah EMTs Eitan Saar, Tomer Sela, and Zehavit Lezar.

“We immediately responded to provide medical treatment to a female patient approximately 40 years of age who sustained moderate traumatic injuries, a 15-year-old male patient who sustained moderate traumatic injuries, and an additional male patient approximately 20 years of age who sustained minor traumatic injuries.”
