‘Antisemitism in its purest form’: Trump ready to take Harvard to Supreme Court

The Trump administration has taken powerful steps to pressure Harvard to deal with campus antisemitism, including freezing $3 billion in federal funding.

The head of a specialized DOJ task force, Leo Terrel, told Fox News that US President Donald Trump may take the antisemitism case against Harvard to the Supreme Court if needed.

“We have tolerated antisemitism for the last four years,” the civil rights attorney told “The Faulkner Focus” on Tuesday.

“Thank goodness, President Trump is in office. He won’t tolerate it. He’s going to eliminate it. That’s why I’m in this role right now. That’s why Pam Bondi is the attorney general, and Harmeet Dhillon is the civil rights head,” Terrell continued.

The Trump administration has taken powerful steps to pressure Harvard to deal with campus antisemitism, including freezing $3 billion in federal funding.

Trump has sought to restrict Harvard’s enrollment of foreign nationals, who comprise 27% of the university’s student body.

The Department of Homeland Security was behind the action, saying Harvard has created an unsafe campus environment by allowing “anti-American, pro-terrorist agitators” to assault Jewish students on campus.

A judge blocked the Trump administration’s demand, and the case is stalled until Thursday.

This is going to be a courtroom battle. If it goes all the way to the Supreme Court, Trump is going to do that… that’s why the task force is here,” Terrell said.

“Four years ago, nothing happened, but we’re going to have to fight these lawsuits. We’re going to have to take the money away,” he added.

Terrell explained that the ability to attend school overseas on a student visa is a “privilege” and not a right.

He also criticized universities that have been allowing antisemitic incidents to go unchecked, including the harassment of Jewish students, under the guise of “academic freedom.”

“This is not academic freedom. This is antisemitism in its purest… form, and it’s being tolerated not only in universities but throughout the country,” he said.
