AOC’s office vandalized by anti-Israel activists

Vandals accuse left-wing lawmaker and frequent Israel critic of “funding genocide in Gaza,” smear red paint on the outside of her district office in New York City.

The district office of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was vandalized earlier this week with a message accusing her of enabling Israel to carry out a “genocide” in the Gaza Strip.

At approximately 12:45 a.m. Monday, New York City police received a report regarding vandalism at the exterior of the Democratic congresswoman’s office in the Bronx.

Officers dispatched to the scene said that the front of the office had been splattered with red paint.

In addition, the vandals left a sign, written in red ink, linking the far-left lawmaker to Israel’s ongoing war against the Hamas terror organization in the Gaza Strip.

“AOC FUNDS GENOCIDE IN GAZA,” the sign read.

The New York Police Department has launched an investigation into the vandalism, but no arrests have yet been made.

The message apparently came in response to Ocasio-Cortez’s vote against an amendment to a defense spending bill pushed by Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia and Democrat Ilhan Omar of Minnesota.

The amendment, which was shot down in a bipartisan vote of 422-6, would have stripped $500 million in funding for Israel’s Iron Dome missile defense system.

Two Republicans — Greene and Kentucky’s Thomas Massie — joined four Democrats in voting for the amendment.

The defense appropriation bill itself, however, passed on a largely partisan line, with 221 in favor and 209 against.

Ocasio-Cortez defended her vote on social media, emphasizing that she supports aid to Israel for “defensive” systems, while opposing “offensive aid.”

The “Squad” member also noted that she joined most other House Democrats in voting against the defense spending bill.

“I see the misinformation machine is kicking up to support Marjorie Taylor Greene’s Israel amendment,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote on social media.

“Advocates have a responsibility to be clear about what legislation does and doesn’t do. Her amendment did NOT cut off offensive aid to Israel. We shouldn’t pretend it does.”

“I also voted NO on the full bill.”

“People exploding this false messaging that I voted for a bill + funding that I quite literally voted NO on. The threat environment this morning is scary.”

“Doesn’t help anyone. Drag me for the position if you disagree but don’t lie. It’s out of control. Saying I voted for this funding is false,” she continued.

The amendment “does nothing to cut off offensive aid to Israel nor end the flow of US munitions being used in Gaza. Of course I voted against it.

“What it does do is cut off defensive Iron Dome capacities while allowing the actual bombs killing Palestinians to continue.

“I have long stated that I do not believe that adding to the death count of innocent victims to this war is constructive to its end.”

Ocasio-Cortez also accused Israel of perpetrating “genocide” in the Gaza Strip.
