A wave of Iranian ballistic missile strikes across Israel on Sunday evening left at least eight people wounded, damaged homes and infrastructure, and ignited fires, as the nation braced for additional attacks.

Sirens wailed from Haifa and the Golan Heights in the north to the Negev in the south, warning of incoming projectiles.

Explosions echoed across the country as the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed that while many missiles were intercepted, others struck populated areas.

In Haifa, one missile impact left a 72-year-old woman moderately injured from smoke inhalation caused by a fire, according to the Magen David Adom emergency rescue service.

Three others sustained light injuries, and three more were treated for acute anxiety.

Emergency responders also launched a search for a possible person trapped under debris in the area.

In southern Israel, a missile slammed into a residential home, lightly injuring four people and causing structural damage.

Meanwhile, in the north, another impact sparked a fire, prompting a swift response from firefighters and police.

Police confirmed that missile fragments fell in a coastal town in the Haifa District, damaging property.

Bomb disposal experts and officers secured the area and conducted searches for additional hazards.

“We urge the public to stay clear of impact sites and follow all police instructions,” a police statement said.

The Home Front Command initially ordered residents to remain in protected spaces but later gave clearance to exit shelters.

Authorities continue to urge caution amid the ongoing threat.

This was the second Iranian missile barrage on Israel since noon Sunday.

While the earlier salvo was mostly intercepted with no direct hits reported, the evening attacks resulted in widespread impacts.

The IDF said it remains on high alert, with Air Force units actively intercepting threats.

Search and rescue teams are operating at multiple locations to respond to reported impacts, the military added.
