“My wife and I are saddened by the passing of attorney Jacob Weinroth. Jacob had a great personality, great wisdom, sharpness of mind, and a great sense of justice and loyalty to his people.”

A kind of attorney to the rich and famous, Weinroth similarly represented President Ezer Weizmann, Israeli Army Chief-of-Staff Rafael Eitan, several ministers, and other famous public personalities.

He also represented the Jewish Underground,  a group in the 1980s that sought to blow up the Dome of the Rock and engage in retaliatory attacks against Arabs.

Weinroth’s son, Dubi, mourned his father in a Facebook post, “I don’t know what was bigger with my father: His mind or his heart.” Quoting from the Second Book of Samuel, he wrote, “Do you not know that a prince and a great man has fallen this day in Israel?”
