President Donald Trump reportedly lashed out at Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a heated phone call, accusing him of fueling global hostility toward Israel and jeopardizing delicate negotiations with Iran.
According to reports, Trump was furious over Israel’s escalating operations against Hezbollah in Lebanon and objected to threats of major strikes in Beirut. He reportedly told Netanyahu that “everybody hates Israel because of this” and even claimed the Israeli leader would have been “in prison” if not for his support.
The confrontation came after Iran threatened to abandon talks with Washington over Israel’s actions in Lebanon. Following the call, Israel reportedly backed away from plans for a wider operation in Beirut, with US officials describing the exchange as one of the most tense conversations between Trump and Netanyahu since Trump returned to office.
