Shortly after a car-ramming attack was stymied just north of Jerusalem, a shooting attack on IDF soldiers stationed outside of the Palestinian city of Ramallah was quelled.
A car-ramming attack was thwarted on Wednesday evening, at a gas station outside the community of Kochav Yaakov, located just north of Jerusalem.
The attacker targeted a group of soldiers who were standing at a bus stop, none of whom reportedly were injured. According to the IDF spokesperson’s unit, the attacker was neutralized and killed as he attempted to exit his vehicle holding a knife in his hand.
Most recently, 4 Israeli soldiers were killed in a truck-ramming attack early in January, in Jerusalem’s neighborhood of Armon Hanatziv, just south of the Old City.
Later Wednesday evening, the IDF reported that a gunman fired at an army post northwest of the Palestinian city of Ramallah. Israeli soldiers succeeded in neutralizing the attacker and wounding him.
None of the soldiers were reported to have been injured in the incident.
