DC terrorist’s anti-Trump father was honored by Democratic congressman

Eric Rodriguez, father of accused killer Elias Rodriguez, was a guest of Rep. Jesús “Chuy” García (D-IL) at Trump’s March address to Congress.

The father of the terror suspect accused of gunning down two soon-to-be-engaged Israeli Embassy staffers outside the Capital Jewish Museum was honored just months ago by a far-left member of Congress at President Trump’s joint address.

Eric Rodriguez, father of accused killer Elias Rodriguez, was a guest of Rep. Jesús “Chuy” García (D-IL) at Trump’s March address to Congress.

That same day, Rodriguez also appeared in a Service Employees International Union video, identifying himself as an Iraq War veteran and VA employee. In the video, Rodriguez declared:

“I’ve been with the VA for three years, and the reason why I’m in Washington, DC, is because I’m concerned about what Donald Trump, Elon Musk and DOGE are doing to the VA system.”

On Thursday, his son Elias Rodriguez, 31, was formally charged in federal court with two counts of first-degree murder and additional charges in the cold-blooded slayings of 28-year-old Yaron Lischinsky and 26-year-old Sarah Milgrim.

The couple—both Israeli Embassy staffers—were leaving an event at the Capital Jewish Museum when they were allegedly ambushed.

According to court documents, Rodriguez fired nearly two dozen rounds, shouting “Free, free Palestine!” as he was taken into custody.

Sources say Milgrim attempted to crawl away after collapsing from the gunfire, but was fatally struck.

The couple had planned to get engaged in Jerusalem the following week.

Critics are now blasting Rep. García for honoring the suspect’s father, a vocal anti-Trump and anti-Musk activist, as the latest example of how radical politics have dangerously blurred the lines of decency and judgment.
