Ex-PM demands ‘revolt’ to topple current gov’t

Ehud Barak, who had extensive financial dealings with disgraced pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, calls for anti-government protests to “shut down the state” and force Netanyahu out of office.

Former Israeli prime minister Ehud Barak called for a massive civilian uprising in order to oust the current government, headed by Benjamin Netanyahu, at a rally on Saturday evening.

A longtime bitter political rival of Netanyahu, Barak tore into the premier while speaking to a crowd of anti-government protesters in Tel Aviv.

Placing the entirety of the blame for the October 7th massacres and ongoing war on Netanyahu, Barak said it was “essential” to “eliminate” him as soon as possible.

In order to topple the coalition, Barak said, the public must engage in a large-scale “revolt” to force early elections.

Anti-government activists should use the Knesset’s upcoming summer recess to “prepare for non-violent civil disobedience,” which will escalate into “shutting down the state,” he said.

Barak has extensive financial ties to disgraced pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, including receiving at least $3 million in funding from various Epstein-related institutions, including the Wexner Foundation.

The recent release of several public records revealed that the ex-prime minister created several companies closely linked to the late billionaire.

An Israeli enterprise founded by Barak, called Ergo Eb 2014, is listed as an “Epstein entity” at least five times in U.S. Virgin Island subpoenas against Epstein’s estate.

In 2008, the New York Post reported that Epstein had visited Israel before his first trial for soliciting underage prostitutes.

Epstein was “in Israel for Passover,” an Epstein representative told the outlet at the time.

“He’s meeting with Israeli scientists about medical research he’s funding and taking a tour of military bases with [Friends of Israel chairman] Benny Shabtai.”

During that time period, Barak served as Minister of Defense. It’s likely that Epstein’s visit to army assets was coordinated in advance with Barak.

In a 2016 deposition, Virginia Roberts Giuffre said she was introduced to Barak as a teen and that he had sexually abused her.

Responding to the allegation in Israel Hayom, Barak said he “does not comment on imaginary rumors or false affidavits.”

Barak has admitted to visiting Epstein’s private Caribbean island multiple times, where investigators and victims have said that sexual abuse took place.

In May 2023, Diaspora Affairs Minister Amichai Chikli questioned why Israeli prosecutors and mainstream media have not seriously looked into Barak’s connections with Epstein.

“If you’re going to pretend to remain a public figure leading protests, you should sit down in front of a camera and explain once and for all what brought you to visit Mr. Epstein so many times, and for what services his number one client Leslie Wexner allegedly paid you,” Chikli wrote on social media platform X.
