A new high-tech center, the first of its kind in Judea and Samaria, was inaugurated last week in an event attended by over 200 people, including major investors in the industry.
The center, called “BinyaminTech,” will host entrepreneurs and a variety of high-tech startups, and aims to promote them by giving them the necessary infrastructure and network for successful and sustainable growth.
The event also marked the graduation of the first group of entrepreneurs to attend the ‘BinyaminTech Accelerator 1’ program. The 10 graduates presented their projects and will continue to work on them at the new high-tech center.
BinyaminTech was created in order to establish a foundation that will allow for the development of a high-tech industry in the Binyamin region and incorporate the Binyamin residents in the industry. The goal set by the founders was to reach the employment of hundreds of software workers within five years.
“After lots of hard work and help from many different people and organizations, we have finally reached the moment that Binyamin is making its first step in the development of high-tech in the region,” said Yael Ze’evi, the head of BinyaminTech.
She expressed hope that the center will grow significantly in the coming years. “I believe this place will bring many entrepreneurs and investors to Binyamin and ultimately connect to the successful Tel-Aviv high-tech ecosystem,” she added.
