French officials secretly met senior Hamas terrorists: Report

A French intelligence officer reportedly sat down with Hamas leaders in Qatar, after receiving President Macron’s blessing.

The French government has allegedly maintained covert ties with Hamas for years, with intelligence officials holding meetings with senior members of the terror group in Qatar prior to the October 7th massacres, according to a bombshell new report.

Hebrew-language outlet Channel 12 reported that Israeli forces operating in Gaza uncovered documents suggesting that high-ranking French officials not only sustained close contact with Hamas leadership, but also participated in secret, face-to-face meetings with top operatives.

One such meeting reportedly took place in Doha in October 2020, where a senior French intelligence official sat down with Hamas leaders Mousa Abu Marzook and Khaled Mashal.

“I am happy about this meeting. I come with President Macron’s approval. We do not want to speak only with the Palestinian Authority, but also with you. We French are historically close to the Palestinian struggle,” the official allegedly told the Hamas leaders, according to the documents.

In response, the Hamas figures reportedly reiterated the group’s commitment to the destruction of Israel.

“Even if the international community supports the Zionist entity, rest assured we will defeat it. This land is ours, and our resistance and revolution have continued for over a century — we will fight until victory,” Marzook and Mashal were quoted as saying, according to Hamas’s own record of the conversation.

The documents did not indicate that the French official challenged or objected to those remarks.

The Channel 12 report comes just weeks after France announced it would formally recognize a Palestinian state in September — a move that drew immediate condemnation from Jerusalem. Senior Israeli officials described the decision as a “reward” for the October 7th atrocities.

In response to the Channel 12 report, a French diplomat called the claims about the meeting between its official sand Hamas “baseless.”

The French official accused the outlet of trying to “undermine France’s efforts toward a two-state solution.”
