Netanyahu’s son accuses Piers Morgan of going ‘full Nazi mode’ in online brawl over Gaza war

British TV personality compares Israeli prime minister to Hamas while Netanyahu’s son accuses him of antisemitism and going “full Nazi” in online debate over the Gaza war.

British television personality Piers Morgan and podcaster Yair Netanyahu, son of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, traded insults in an online debate over the war in Gaza on Friday amid widespread criticism over Morgan’s comments on footage of an Israeli hostage held by Hamas.

The dust-up on X began after Morgan tweeted a video clip from a BBC report claiming 100 children were allegedly shot in Gaza, captioning the post: “Most moral army in the world.”

Yair Netanyahu was quick to respond to Morgan, who fended off criticism from other X users over his defense of casualty figures publicized by the Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry.

“This is medieval-style blood libels,” Yair tweeted. “You guys went full Nazi mode. I hope Qatar is paying well.”

“By the way, hasn’t your brother served in Afghanistan and Iraq? Tens of thousand [sic] of innocent children were killed by NATO and British army there.”

In one of many tweets Friday on the subject of the war in Gaza, Morgan compared the elder Netanyahu to Hamas terrorists, accusing him of “betraying” Israelis.

“He is betraying the Israeli people for self-interest, just as Hamas has done with Palestinian civilians in Gaza.”

Misspelling Yair’s name, Morgan accused him of extremism and accused his father of refusing to be interviewed on Piers Morgan Uncensored.

“Hi Nair [sic], when you’ve stopped spewing your usual extremist crap, can you ask your father to stop ducking my interview requests as he has done since October 7? I have a few questions for him. Thanks.”

In a lengthy response, Yair accused Morgan of platforming “every possible Nazi antisemitic lunatic,” calling Morgan’s show an “antisemitic Nazi version of the Jerry Springer show.”

“Yes I know he gave you interviews before, but that was before you went full Nazi clown mode. Why won’t you interview your boss the Qatari dictator about how he funds and host Hamas, Al Qaida, taliban and ISIS? About How it’s a criminal offence in his country to practice Christianity, bring in a Christian bible or build a church?”

“You sound unhinged, Yair,” Morgan fired back. “But if you want to come on Piers Morgan Uncensored and defend your father, let me know.”

Yair turned down the offer, citing a recent show which featured pro-Israel attorney Natasha Hausdorff.

“Oh wow you destroyed my arguments, you called me unhinged. Come to the show to “debate” you plus 4 other antisemites clowns that will shout at me and won’t let me say a word, like you did to Hausdorff.”

On Saturday, Morgan sparked controversy with another tweet in which he criticized pro-Israel social media users for questioning Hamas’ casualty figures while accepting the veracity of hostage videos released by the terror group.

It’s interesting that all the prominent pro-Israeli voices on here who refuse to believe any Gazan casualty numbers published by the Hamas-run Palestinian health ministry, accept the veracity of hostage pix/videos posted by Hamas without hesitation,” Morgan wrote.

The tweet came in response to the release of footage of an emaciated Israeli hostage, Evyatar David, being forced to dig a ditch inside a Hamas tunnel.

After coming under fire for the tweet, Morgan clarified that he was not questioning the veracity of the hostage videos, but was instead criticizing users who do not accept Hamas’ casualty figures.

“I think the videos are genuine. But I also think the Gazan casualty numbers are accurate. The source for both is the same: Hamas.”
