Additional countries are preparing to join the planned International Stabilization Force in Gaza, signaling growing international involvement in postwar security arrangements tied to the ceasefire framework between Israel and Hamas.
Israeli public broadcaster Kan News reported Monday evening that Morocco, Greece, and Albania are in advanced discussions with the United States regarding participation in the stabilization mission.
According to new reports, Greece is expected to contribute a specialized battalion to the multinational force, equipped with armored vehicles, medical teams, and engineering units.
The deployment would form part of the next phase of stabilization efforts expected to accompany Phase Two of the ceasefire process advanced by the Trump administration.
Morocco is expected to become the first Arab country to join the force, a move viewed as politically significant within the broader regional framework supporting Gaza’s postwar transition.
The development follows earlier reports that Indonesia’s military is preparing to deploy thousands of soldiers to the Gaza Strip in the coming weeks, marking one of the largest anticipated contributions to the force.
The International Stabilization Force is a United Nations mandated multinational peacekeeping mission outlined in the Gaza peace plan agreed upon by Israel and Hamas in October 2025.
The force is intended to help maintain security, assist in training a new Palestinian police force, and oversee the demilitarization and reconstruction of the Gaza Strip following the war.
The expanding list of participating countries reflects growing international efforts to establish a coordinated security presence in Gaza aimed at preventing renewed fighting while supporting long-term stabilization and reconstruction initiatives.
