Hamas injures two American aid workers in grenade attack

The GHF has repeatedly warned that Hamas is targeting them and that the terror group has placed a bounty on the heads of aid workers.

Hamas attacked two US veterans distributing aid to Gazan civilians on behalf of the US and an Israeli-backed Gaza Humanitarian Aid Foundation (GHF) with grenades.

The two aid workers, who are described as “highly decorated veterans” are receiving medical attention and are in stable condition.
“GHF has repeatedly warned of credible threats from Hamas, including explicit plans to target American personnel, Palestinian aid workers, and the civilians who rely on our sites for food. Today’s attack tragically affirms those warnings,” the organization wrote on X.

GHF declared it would continue distributing aid despite threats and attacks.

The GHF posted photos on social media showing fragments of the grenade, which contained ball bearings.

According to GHF Executive Chairman Rev. Johnnie Moore, the grenades were discovered to have come from Iran and are the type “commonly used by Hamas.”

“I am sorry to say also that today’s terror attack on Americans is partly a byproduct of the legitimacy that many in the press and at the [U.N.] provide to Hamas —amplifying Hamas’s lies about GHF every day, but also actively collaborating with Hamas,” Moore wrote on X.

IDF International Spokesperson Lt. Col. Nadav Shoshani reported, “The Hamas terrorist organization and other terrorist groups in Gaza continue efforts to sabotage and fail the distribution of humanitarian aid at the distribution sites and on the way to them.”

The GHF criticized the international community for not calling out Hamas for its attacks against aid workers, “For weeks, we warned this would happen. We asked the aid community to condemn threats. They stayed silent. We asked the media to stop laundering Hamas lies. They kept printing. Today, Hamas followed through by attacking American veterans with grenades as they delivered food. The silence is deafening. At what point is allowing Hamas to terrorize aid workers and run a propaganda campaign through Western media no longer acceptable?”

US State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce condemned the attack, “This act of violence against the people actually bringing relief to Gazans lays bare the depravity of Hamas,” she wrote on X.

“GHF has contributed over 62 MILLION MEALS – nothing will stop these courageous aid workers. We are praying for the rapid recovery of the injured Americans.”
