Hezbollah admits: We are arming Palestinian terror groups

Lashing out at Arab League for branding Hezbollah as ‘terrorists,’ its leader Hassan Nasrallah rebukes the claim while he admits to arming Palestinian groups in Gaza.

Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah admitted that his terror organization is providing arms to terror groups in Gaza, while insisting that Hezbollah is not a terror organization.

In a televised speech delivered on Monday, Nasrallah said that allegations made by Arab foreign ministers during an Arab League meeting on Sunday that Hezbollah was involved in terrorism were “silly” and “completely baseless.”

The Arab League declared Hezbollah a terror organization while accusing it of sending ballistic missile to Yemen’s Houthi rebels and saying that Hezbollah was responsible for the missile attack on Riyadh a week ago.

“I categorically deny any role of any member of Hezbollah in launching this missile,” said Nasrallah, saying that the terror group has not sent ballistic missiles, advanced weapons “or even a pistol” to Yemen, Bahrain, or Kuwait.

“We have never transferred long-range missiles to any Arab state, but we did transfer arms to the forces of resistance in Gaza Strip and to fighters in Syria,” he stated, relating to the Palestinian terror groups in Gaza.

He then slammed the ties Israel is reporting forging with Arab states in the region saying, “You can listen to Israeli comments on coordination between them and some Arab countries, especially Saudi Arabia. It’s enough to quote the criminal former Israeli Defense Minister Yaalon who said ‘It is not by accident that [Saudi Foreign Minister Adel] Al-Jubeir says in Arabic what we say in Hebrew’.”

“There are Arab countries that want to forge ties with Israel – namely Saudi Arabia. The interview by [the head of the Israeli army Gadi] Eizenkot to the Saudi website Elaph is a dangerous development for the Palestinians,” he further asserted.

IDF  Chief of Staff Gadi Eizenkot told the Saudi Elaph news site on Thursday that Israel is willing to share intelligence with Saudi Arabia, a country that shares Israel’s concerns about Iran.

Asked if Israel has recently shared intelligence with Saudi Arabia, Eizenkot said, “we are prepared to share information if there is a need to do so. There are many shared interests between us and Saudi Arabia.”

Referring to President Donald Trump’s reported peace initiative, Nasrallah denounced efforts to pressure the  Palestinians “to accept dictates that will kill the Palestinian issue under the so-called ‘deal of the century.’”

Nasrallah’s comments come just a few weeks after he met in Beirut with the deputy head of Hamas’ political bureau Saleh Al-Aarouri, as the two terror groups are working to tighten their relationship and coordinate their war against Israel.

Nasrallah confirmed “the convergence between the resistance movements, and voiced solidarity in the face of the Israeli aggression,” the Hezbollah-linked Al-Manar reported.
