Three IDF soldiers were wounded Friday, including one seriously and two moderately, after Hezbollah launched explosive drones and additional projectiles toward Israeli and IDF positions near the Lebanese border, according to the Israeli military.

The IDF said two of the soldiers were injured when an explosive drone launched by the Hezbollah terrorist organization fell inside Israeli territory near the border with Lebanon.

The wounded troops were evacuated for medical treatment, and their families were notified.

The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit described the incident as “another violation of the ceasefire understandings by the terrorist organization.”

Earlier in the day, Hezbollah launched several additional explosive drones that detonated near IDF troops operating in southern Lebanon.

One soldier sustained moderate wounds in that incident and was evacuated for medical treatment. His family was also informed.

The attacks came amid heightened tensions along the northern front. The Israel Defense Forces said Thursday that it had canceled several civilian events in northern Israel following an assessment that Hezbollah could launch rockets toward Israel after the killing of Ahmed Ghaleb Balout, commander of Hezbollah’s Radwan Force, in Beirut a day earlier.

The military also reported that Hezbollah launched several rockets and mortar shells in recent hours toward Israeli forces operating in southern Lebanon.

According to the IDF, the Israeli Air Force intercepted one launch, while the remaining rockets and mortar rounds landed near Israeli forces.

No injuries were reported from the rocket and mortar fire. The military said warning sirens were not activated “in accordance with policy.”

Separately, Israeli police responded to a drone discovered on the roof of a school in Nahariya.

Police officers and bomb disposal personnel from the Coastal District arrived at the scene, evacuated the school building, and began operations to neutralize and remove the unmanned aerial vehicle.

Authorities said no injuries were reported in the Nahariya incident.
