IAF targets Iran’s internal security apparatus used to repress protesters

Israel’s latest wave of strikes marks a significant shift: The Israeli Air Force is now hitting Iran’s internal security apparatus, the very institutions responsible for suppressing protests and enforcing regime control.

This development is grounded in multiple confirmed reports, which describe a widening of target sets beyond nuclear and military infrastructure.

Several independent outlets report that the IAF has expanded its campaign to include police headquarters, domestic security command centers, and IRGC-linked suppression units.

Reports say that Israel destroyed Iran’s internal security headquarters, described as “the central suppression arm of the Iranian dictator.”

Other reports add that the IAF struck Tehran’s police headquarters, part of a broader set of more than 1,100 Iranian assets hit since the start of the confrontation.

These targets are not random: Iran’s police, intelligence, and IRGC Basij units form the backbone of the regime’s protest‑suppression network.

Striking them directly is both symbolic and operational.

Iran’s internal security forces—especially the Basij, Law Enforcement Command (FARAJA), and IRGC Intelligence Organization—are central to crushing demonstrations.

By striking their headquarters and communications hubs, Israel is disrupting the regime’s ability to coordinate repression, undermining morale among security forces and sending a message that no arm of the regime is immune.
