IDF chief: ‘Generation of heroes’ fighting in Lebanon

IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Eyal Zamir praised current soldiers as the greatest generation since 1948 during a visit to forces in southern Lebanon.

Calling the war “historic,” Zamir hailed commanders and troops for “exemplary battles” and vowed Israel will not tolerate attacks on northern communities.

He also stressed that Hezbollah draws strength from Iran, saying Israeli operations have dealt major blows to Tehran’s military capabilities and its support for the terror group
