IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Eyal Zamir praised current soldiers as the greatest generation since 1948 during a visit to forces in southern Lebanon.
Calling the war “historic,” Zamir hailed commanders and troops for “exemplary battles” and vowed Israel will not tolerate attacks on northern communities.
