Israeli Forces on Sunday night demolished the home of Mohammed Tarayreh, a 17-year-old Palestinian terrorist who in June brutally killed 13-year-old Hallel Yaffa Ariel as she slept.
Tarayreh, a resident of Bani Na’im, a village near Hebron, broke into Ariel’s home in the Jewish community of Kiryat Arba and stabbed her to death while she was sleeping in her bed. Ariel died of her wounds shortly after being rushed to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem. The terrorist was killed at the scene.
Israel maintains a policy of creating deterrence against terrorism by demolishing the homes of Palestinian terrorists, hoping that their families will work to prevent their children and relatives from carrying out attacks against Israelis.
“My daughter was sleeping, calm and peaceful, and a terrorist just got into her bed and murdered her,” Hallel’s mother, Rina, told Israeli media after the attack.
The village of Bani Na’im was placed under complete closure following the terror attack and villagers needed IDF permission to leave and enter.
