IDF nabs Palestinian suspected of aiding ‘execution-style’ killer of 2 Israelis

IDF troops on Saturday arrested an individual suspected of assisting the terrorist who killed two Israelis in Samaria.

According to reports in the Palestinian media, Israeli security forces on Saturday arrested an associate of Ashraf Walid Suleiman Na’alowa, the primary suspect in an execution-style killing in Samaria’s Barkan industrial park at the beginning of October.

IDF troops forced entry into a construction site in the village of Shuweika, surrounding the premises before carrying out the raid, according to a report by Hadashot TV relying on the Palestinian media’s account of the events. While the IDF confirmed its operations in the village, it did not release any additional details.

The raid in Shuweika follows IDF sweeps in the area earlier in the week, including efforts to warn residents of nearby Tulkarem about the danger of assisting the suspected terrorist’s attempts to avoid law enforcement.

Na’alowa is the leading suspect in a grisly killing in Barkan that claimed the lives of 35-year-old Israeli father Ziv Hajbi and 28-year-old mother Kim Levengrond Yehezkel, both of whom worked in the industrial one, which had previously been touted as an oasis of co-existence where Israelis and Palestinians work side by side.

Surveillance video from the crime scene appeared to show Na’alowa fleeing and the 23-year-old has thus far evaded an extensive manhunt throughout Samaria.

On Monday, officials served notice that Na’alowa’s family home would be demolished, which is standard practice in cases of terrorism  of this magnitude.
