Iran strikes UAE oil complex, wounding 3; IDF maintains readiness

A senior IDF official said there was no change to Israel’s home front directives.

Iran attacked an oil industry complex in Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates on Monday, wounding three Indian citizens, according to Fujairah’s media office, as tensions escalated across the Persian Gulf region.

The strike followed earlier defensive action by the UAE, which intercepted three missiles the same day, while a fourth missile fell into the sea.

The incident came a day after President Donald Trump rejected Iran’s ceasefire proposal.

Iranian media also reported Monday that a US warship had been hit, a claim denied by U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM).

Despite what was described as an Iranian attack on the United Arab Emirates and Oman on Monday night, a senior IDF official said there was no change to Israel’s home front directives.

“The IDF is following the situation and is at a high level of readiness,” the official said. “We emphasize that there are no changes to the home front rules.”

The official added that Israel’s military posture remains unchanged. “Our air defense systems and attack capabilities are prepared at a high level, which is something that has not changed since the ceasefire decision.”

Israeli security officials said tensions in the Persian Gulf have reached a peak, warning that a single spark or misunderstanding could collapse the ceasefire with the Iranian regime and lead to renewed fighting, according to Walla.

Sources in Israel told Walla that Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates have increased pressure on the Trump administration over the past week.

Gulf leaders are described as concerned about potential outcomes, including any American withdrawal from the region or the signing of what they view as a weak agreement, which they believe could leave them exposed to Iranian retaliation and trigger broader regional economic disruption.

The developments unfolded amid continued military readiness by Israel and heightened regional alert following the reported attacks and missile interceptions.
