Trump threatens to ‘blow Iran off the face of the Earth’ if it attacks US ships

President Donald Trump warned Monday that Iran will be “blown off the face of the Earth” if it attacks U.S. vessels, as tensions continued in the Strait of Hormuz and reports of military activity and strikes circulated across the region.

Trump made the remarks during an interview with Fox News’ Trey Yingst, where he said Iran has become “much more malleable” in ongoing peace negotiations.

He also pointed to continued U.S. military preparations. “We have more weapons and ammunition at a much higher grade than we had before,” Trump said. “We have the best equipment. We have stuff all over the world. We have these bases all over the world. They’re all stocked up with equipment. We can use all of that stuff, and we will, if we need it.”

In a statement posted on X, the command said, “The truth is, no US military vessel has been attacked.”

Iran’s Fars news agency had earlier reported that two missiles hit a U.S. warship near Jask Island after it ignored warnings, adding that the vessel turned around and that U.S. ships were prevented from entering the area.

Following the denial, an Iranian official told Reuters that Iranian forces fired “warning shots” at a U.S. warship to deter it from entering the strait, adding it was unclear whether any damage occurred.

A senior American official also rejected the Iranian account, telling Al Jazeera, “The Revolutionary Guards fabricated the story about an attack on a US Navy ship. This is a false story.”

Separately, Iran launched three missiles toward the United Arab Emirates on Monday, which were intercepted by air defense systems.

A drone strike in Fujairah caused a fire at an industrial site and wounded three Indian citizens, according to local authorities. Explosions were also reported at Jebel Ali Port in Dubai, and a cargo ship caught fire off the UAE coast following an attack.
