Israel closes all embassies worldwide amid Iran missile retaliation

Israeli embassies and diplomatic missions across the globe closed have their doors in an unprecedented security measure following the country’s massive military operation against Iran’s nuclear facilities.

“Israeli missions around the world will be closed and consular services will not be provided,” Israel’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Friday, along with a warning for Israelis living abroad to maintain caution when attending large-scale events associated with Israel or Judaism.

Israeli Defense Forces reported intercepting “dozens of unmanned aerial vehicles launched from Iran” over the past 24 hours using naval missile ships, air defense systems, and fighter aircraft.

However, some Iranian missiles broke through Israel’s air defense systems, killing two victims when their homes in Rishon Lezion took direct hits.

Among the dead was 73-year-old Yisrael Aloni. A third Israeli died in related attacks, while thirty-four others suffered injuries, including a woman critically hurt after being trapped under rubble.

“If Khamenei continues to fire missiles at the Israeli home front — Tehran will burn,” warned Defense Minister Israel Katz after an emergency assessment meeting with military commanders.

Netanyahu escalated further in a video address to Israelis, vowing unprecedented destruction. “We will hit every place, every site, every target of the Ayatollah’s regime,” he said. “And what they have felt so far is nothing compared to what they will feel in the coming days.”

Iran retaliated for Israel’s surprise attack early Friday morning, targeting nuclear facilities and military leadership. Israeli forces now confirm that the strikes killed nine nuclear scientists and experts, plus 70 other military personnel.

The dead scientists included specialists in mechanics, physics, and materials engineering: Bakhouei Karimi, Mansour Asgari, and Saeed Barji. An estimated 320 others were wounded in Israeli operations.

Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has vowed further retaliation.

“We will not allow them to escape safely from this great crime they committed,” he declared.

Following Israel’s strikes, US President Donald Trump issued a stark warning to Iran, warning the regime to accept a nuclear deal to avoid further attacks.

Meanwhile, Oman has announced that planned mediated talks between Iran and the United States over Tehran’s rapidly advancing nuclear program on Sunday have been cancelled.

“I told them, in the strongest of words, to ‘just do it,’ but no matter how hard they tried, no matter how close they got, they just couldn’t get it done,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “Certain Iranian hardliners spoke bravely, but they didn’t know what was about to happen. They are all DEAD now, and it will only get worse.”
