Israel tweets Mossad link in response to Iranian social media pleas

The tweet included a link and advised people to only contact the Mossad using an external VPN.

In a surprising social media post, the Israeli military’s Farsi X feed tweeted a call for Iranians to contact the Mossad intelligence agency on Wednesday.

The Farsi account, which goes by the handle @IDFFarsi, said it received many inquiries from Iranian citizens that would be more appropriate for the Mossad.

“In recent days, we have received many messages from loved ones who are worried about the current uncertain future. Even those who identify themselves as members of the regime’s security institutions express their fear, despair, and anger at what is happening in Iran and ask us to contact Israeli authorities – so that Iran does not suffer the same fate as Lebanon and Gaza. It is important to clarify here that we are not the appropriate authority for such requests,” the army tweeted.

The tweet included a link and advised people to only contact the Mossad using an external VPN.

The account has more than 100,000 followers. A random sampling of the 157 replies showed support for the strikes, though the accounts could not be verified.

“I hope that the powerful Israeli government and army will not succumb to pressure from pea-sized countries like France and will continue to strike the snake with all their might,” responded @siavash4460.

“The sound of the explosion is closer to where I live every night than the night before. My life is in danger. But you are fighting to rid the world of a demon. Israel understood the danger of the Islamic Republic before the stupid politicians of other countries. I will defend your continued operations at the cost of my life. Good luck,” tweeted @IlluminatusMili.

“I, who am not Iranian, have no balls to send an email to a spy organization with my own email address and real name and surname. No problem, please take the trouble to convey our points of view,” tweeted @homosrb.

Israel launched preemptive strikes against Iranian nuclear sites on Friday, citing intelligence that Tehran had reached “a point of no return” in its pursuit of nuclear weapons.

According to Israeli defense officials, Iran has developed the capacity to rapidly enrich uranium and assemble nuclear bombs, with sufficient fissile material for up to 15 weapons.

Israeli intelligence also exposed a covert program to complete all components of a nuclear device. The strikes mark a dramatic escalation in what officials describe as a broader Iranian strategy combining nuclear development, missile proliferation, and proxy warfare aimed at Israel’s destruction.
