An Israeli delegation led by Netanyahu’s chief of staff left for Washington to continue talks on the future of Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria.
Yoav Horowitz, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Chief of Staff, departed Sunday evening for Washington to resume discussions with the Trump administration on construction in Judea and Samaria. Netanyahu’s promise to resettle the residents evicted from Amona is also on the agenda.
Netanyahu is currently on a trip to China.
Jason Greenblatt, US President Donald Trump’s chief adviser on international negotiations, was in Jerusalem last week, where he met with Netanyahu as well as with President Reuven Rivlin and Opposition leader Isaac Herzog. He also visited Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas in Ramallah in an effort to revive Israeli-Palestinian peace negotiations, which came to a halt in 2014.
Horowitz is traveling with a delegation of advisers from the Prime Minister’s Office. The group, joined by Israeli Ambassador to the US Ron Dermer, will meet with Greenblatt, among other senior US officials.
Abbas was invited to visit Trump in the White House next month.
