A Palestinian terrorist who stabbed and critically injured a 20-year-old Israeli at a farm in Samaria on Monday was killed, ending a manhunt for the attacker.

A security source told The Press Service of Israel that the terrorist is a former prisoner from the nearby village of Qabalan.

Magen David Adom, a paramedic, treated the victim, who was conscious and suffered multiple stab wounds, including wounds to his upper body, head, and neck.

He was evacuated to Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva.

The terrorist arrived at the Maoz Yehuda Farm near the Palestinian village of Ozrin in the Samaria region.

According to the victim, the Palestinian approached him and asked where his weapon was.

The terrorist then got out of the car, stabbed him, and fled in the vehicle.

The terrorist dropped his cellphone at the scene, where security forces recovered it.

Israeli soldiers and police launched a manhunt for the attacker and closed off surrounding Palestinian villages.

Israel Gantz, chairman of the Yesha Council, which represents Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria, said in response to the attack, “The terrorists understand very well the significance of the Jewish presence on the ground, and therefore they are trying to harm precisely those who are guarding it with their bodies.”
