Resident of Beirut suburb tells IDF officer that Hezbollah is threatening locals and driving them out of their homes, begs Israel to rid the area of the Iran-backed terror group.

A Lebanese man who recently fled his home in a suburb of Beirut offered his support to the IDF, urging the Israeli military to “get rid of” the Iranian-backed terrorist group Hezbollah.
On Monday morning, the IDF released an audio recording of a telephone conversation between an Israeli army officer and a resident of Dahiyeh, a predominantly Shi’ite Muslim enclave south of Beirut that has served as the headquarters of the Hezbollah terror organization.
The conversation took place after an officer from the IDF’s Unit 504 called the Dahiyeh resident, urging him to evacuate his family ahead of Israeli airstrikes.
Following Hezbollah attacks on northern Israel last week, the IDF has resumed large-scale operations against the Islamist terror group.
As part of IDF operations in Lebanon against Hezbollah, officers from Unit 504 have been calling residents of targeted areas in order to warn them to evacuate for their own safety.
During one of the calls, a resident of Dahiyeh told a Unit 504 officer that Hezbollah is driving residents from their homes and threatening them.
He added that the Lebanese people stand with the Lebanese government and against Hezbollah.
“Get rid of them for us already — Hezbollah. I’m with you,” the Lebanese man said. “They drove us out of our homes.”
When the IDF officer asked to confirm that Hezbollah terrorists were threatening locals, the man responded, “Of course, of course.”
“What, you think this works like that?”
“We are with the State of Lebanon, the Lebanese state, the government, the prime minister, and the president. We aren’t with anyone else. We want to relax in our homes with our children and to live freely. We want to be done with this.”
