Levin: Israel aid critics suddenly silent on billions for Iran

“The Iranian regime will now receive more money from this deal in a single year than Israel receives in 10 years,” wrote Mark Levin.

Right-wing commentator Mark Levin blasted the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the United States and Iran, noting that amid growing opposition of U.S. aid to the Jewish state, critics are remaining largely silent about a far larger financial windfall for Tehran.

In a post on X, Levin focused on the financial component of the agreement, which releases billions of dollars in frozen Iranian assets. He contrasted that figure with the scale of American aid to Israel, contending that critics who routinely denounce U.S. assistance to Jerusalem have little to say when vastly larger sums are set to flow to the Islamic Republic.

“The Iranian regime will now receive more money from this deal in a single year than Israel receives in 10 years (nearly all of which buys military equipment from American companies),” Levin wrote.

He also wrote that Israel has recognized the shifting political winds in Washington and is increasingly seeking to reduce its dependence on the United States.

“Israel is actively and aggressively focused on complete economic and military independence. It does not want to be treated as a sterling partner in war but a belittled punching bag the rest of the time,” Levin continued.

Levin went on to lament growing hostility toward Israel across the American political spectrum. Moving away from Israel while drawing closer to Islamist or authoritarian regimes, he warned, would be a profound strategic error.

“Just listen to what’s said about Israel by Democrats, Woke Reich podcasters, TV hosts, and even some of our friends. I fear we will regret this as we grow closer to countries like Qatar, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan and go down a narrow and dark path,” he added.
