In a press conference on International Holocaust Memorial Day, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held up a copy of Hitler’s ‘Mein Kampf’ in Arabic that was found by the IDF in a civilian home.

During his speech condemning the ICJ’s genocide hearing against Israel, Netanyahu held the book and said, “I have here Hitler’s book in Arabic, ‘Mein Kampf.’ This book was “found by our soldiers in the homes of civilians in the Gaza Strip.”

He added, “They found extensive anti-Semitic and Nazi literature there. This is what they educate their children about.”

The Prime Minister was emphasizing the hypocrisy of countries that accuse Israel of genocide when Israel takes military actions to prevent people who glorify genocide from committing the crime.

Netanyahu wasn’t the only Israeli leader to discuss the discovery of Mein Kampf and other antisemitic literature in Gaza.

President Isaac Herzog in mid-November displayed a copy of the book annotated in Arabic discovered in a child’s bedroom that was being used as a terrorist base in the north of Gaza.

During an interview with the BBC, Herzog showed the book and said, “This is Adolf Hitler’s book, ‘Mein Kampf,’ translated into Arabic,”

He added, “This is the book that led to the Holocaust and the book that led to World War II.”

“The terrorist wrote notes, marked the sections, and studied again and again, Adolf Hitler’s ideology to hate the Jews, to kill the Jews, to burn and slaughter Jews wherever they are,” Herzog added.

“This is the real war we are facing,” He said.

Herzog continued, “After the massacre and atrocities committed by Hamas terrorists on October 7 — the day on which the largest number of Jews were murdered since the Holocaust — this is another revelation that testifies to the sources of inspiration of the terrorist organization Hamas.”

He concluded, “It proves once again that all its actions have the same goal as the Nazis — the destruction of Jews.”
